Uglies

On the eve of her 18th birthday, Tally awaits the government mandated surgery that will erase her physical imperfections and allow her to assimilate into a society of Pretties. However, in the hours before Tally’s procedure, she uncovers the ugly truth that life as a Pretty is far from perfect. Tally has to make a choice: Accept her destiny and become “beautiful”, or destroy her life’s dream for a chance at freedom and individuality.
